A key player in the activity of manufacturing of drill chucks

Located in the East of France, LFA has developed for over 85 years a know-how in manufacturing drill chucks intended to handheld drills for professional use. The company is set on a high-end sector and differs by the conception and the manufacturing of custom-made products for its customers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

A complementary activity: LFA distribution

LFA offers a large range of extra chucks and completes its catalog by the distribution of additional products and accessories (power cords, carbon brushes, belts, bearings…)

History

1925

Setting up of the Company Les Fils de Virgile Amyot, near Pontarlier. The Company is specialized in the manufacture of drill chucks for industrials.

1932

Beginning of the international development (Argentina, Australia)

1959

Manufacturing of 6 000 drill chucks per months, 45 employees

1965

Conversion of the SARL into SA Etablissements Amyot

1971

Beginning of the development in Germany (setting up of a partnership with local employees)

1973

The signature of a market of 100 000 chucks with Black and Decker accelerates the setting-up of the company in the industrial park of Pontarlier

1974

Manufacturing of 18 000 drill chucks per months, 65 employees

1978

Manufacturing of 50 000 drill chucks per months, 100 employees

1984

Setting up of a subsidiary in the USA, LFA Industries Inc

1989

Setting up of a subsidiary in Germany, LFA Werkzeugvertrieb GmBH

1995

Launching on the worldwide market of key-less chucks with manual tightening, patented in Europe, the USA and Asia

1997

Manufacturing of 120 000 drill chucks per months, 84 employees

2000

Manufacturing plant expansion to 7000 square meters

2003

Launching of a new key-less chucks, with a new system of tightening

2004

Launching of LFA distribution (new range of products such as carbon brushes, wires, belts …)

2011

Launching of  a new range : the ultra-compact keyless chucks
